Removing PowerPath

Removing PowerPath

Follow these steps to remove PowerPath from a Solaris host:

1.Log in as root.

2.Start the uninstall program. Enter:

/usr/sbin/pkgrm EMCpower

The screen displays information like this:

The following package is currently installed: EMCpower EMC PowerPath

(all) 4.0.0_bxxx

Do you want to remove this package? [y,n,?,q]

3.Enter y and press ENTER to remove the package. The screen displays the following information:

## Removing installed package instance <EMCpower>

This package contains scripts which will be executed with super-user permission during the process of removing this package.

Do you want to continue with the removal of this package [y,n,?,q]

4. Enter y and press ENTER to continue with deinstallation.

The screen displays information about the removal process, ending with:

*EMCpower successfully removed.

*REBOOT the host to complete the remaining step of the removal.

*This reboot may be deferred if you are about to install a

*newer PowerPath product.

*----------------------------------------------------------------

##Updating system information. Removal of <EMCpower> was successful.

If you are removing PowerPath from the host entirely, proceed with step 5.

Otherwise, proceed with step 6.
