Installing or Replacing Server Components
Apply about 2 cubic centimeters of grease (about half the syringe contents) to the top of the CPU in the pattern that is shown in Figure

d.For a new heatsink, peel the protective film from the thermal pad that is on the bottom of the new heatsink.
Note Do not apply a syringe of thermal grease if you are installing a new heatsink that already has a preapplied thermal pad.
e.Align the heatsink captive screws with the motherboard standoffs, and then use a Number 2
Note Tighten each screw evenly to avoid damaging the heatsink or CPU.
f.Replace the internal air baffle and then the top cover.
g.Replace the server in the rack, replace cables, and then power on the server by pressing the Power button.
