Press [PLAY/PAUSE] and play the song.

If you miss a note on the guided track, the display still shows a visual cue of the note you missed.

Playback

Considerations

Whenever the “Guide” mode is activated (orange indicator is illuminated for a [PART] button), “Chain Play” and “Timer Play” are deactivated. In other words, at the end of a piece, the Disklavier simply stops playing, and does not proceed automatically to the next song. This allows you to practice a song repeatedly, or to select another song for performance. Since the SmartKey demo includes an automatic activation of the “Guide” mode, “Chain Play” and “Timer Play” are disabled on your Memory Disk. You may choose to delete the SmartKey demo in order to allow for “Chain Play” and “Timer Play” capabilities.

See “Deleting Songs” on page 5 in the Advanced Operation Manual.
