WASHING DISHES IN YOUR

BOSCH DISHWASHER

There are basically 6steps to washingdishes
inyour Boschdishwasher. They are:
1. Dishware Preparation
2. Loading Your Dishwasher
3. Adding Dishwasher Detergent and
RinseAid
4. Starting Your Dishwasher
5. Drying your Dishes
6. Untoading Your Dishwasher
t. Dishware Preparation
Rinsing your dishes is not necessary, butdo
remove large food particles, bones, seeds,
toothpicks, and excessive grease. Items with
bumed-onor hard,stuck-on material may
requirepre-soaking andhand-scouring.
Separate dishes thatare not dishwasher
safe. Check the Materials section on
pages12 and 13of this manual ifyou have
questions about anitem's dishwasher
suitability.
2. Loading Your Dishwasher
Loading your dishwasher properly witlresutt
inthoroughly cleaneddishes. To property toad
yourdishwasher, you need to be familiar with:

A. General Guidelines
Loadthe dishwasher so that water can
circulate freely and reach every part of every
item.Place items sothatnothing protrudes
from the bottomsof the racks. Placepots,
pans, cups, bowls, and glasses upside-down
inthe racks asshown inFigure 2. Checkthe
Materials section on pages 12and 13 of this
manual ifyou havequestions about anitem's
dishwasher suitability.Do not allow delicate or
heirloomitems to contact other items. Separate
itemsof dissimilar metals. Donot place
objects such as paper products, plastic
bags, or packaging materials into your
dishwasher!
B. Loading the Upper Rack
Glasses, cups, ptates, bowts, and smatl
potsmay beloaded in many different
positions.Figure 3shows a typical mixed load
inthe upper rack. Figure4 shows the top rack
loadpattern for10 place settingswith theknife
rack,and Figure 5 shows load pattern for 12
ptacesettings.
