- check for chimney blockage.
- wait ten minutes. Shut off all exhaust fans in the house (ie: kitchen and bathrooms), furnace, and clothes dryer. Open windows and/or doors. Start fireplace and monitor its opera- tion.
Close doors and windows and start appliances as before; room is in negative pressure; increase fresh air supply.
Chimney down-drafting
