Clean the appliance

^Remove any protective foil.

^Wipe down all surfaces with a damp cloth, then dry.

The metal parts have a protective coating. This will cause an odour the first time the appliance is used. Note that the odour and any vapours will disappear after a brief period of time and are not a sign of malfunction or a defective appliance.
