TROUBLESHOOTING

A howling sound at external source.

• You hear feedback when you are listening and recording from the same source simultaneously.

ªPress AUX to select CDR mode.

All lighted buttons are not lit.

• Equalizer Display is switched on in NITE mode.

ªRotate JOG to other Equalizer Display.

CD Recorder

System does not react.

CD Recorder is in standby mode.

ª Press any key to activate the CD Recorder.

The system is not switched on.

ªEnsure that the ON/OFF button is on.

• Main cable is not connected.

ªEnsure that the mains cable is plugged in correctly.

• Player does not react.

ªSwitch the ON/OFF button on the front of the player OFF and back ON.

No sound.

• The audio equipments are not connected or are connected wrongly.

ªCheck the audio connections.

ªif using an amplifier, try using a different source.

Amplifier sound is distorted.

CD Recorder analog output connection to amplifier is not correct.

ªCheck that the CD recorder analog output is not connected to the amplifier Phono input

Playback will not start.

• The disc is not inserted properly.

ªEnsure that the label of the CD is facing up.

The disc is dirty or dusty.

ª Clean the disc.

The disc is defective.

ªCheck that the disc is not defective by trying another disc.

Cannot record.

The disc is dirty or dusty.

ª Clean the disc.

Check if CDRW is an finalized disc.

ª Unfinalized the CDRW.

“WRONG DISC” is displayed.

The disc is not an AUDIO disc,

ª Replace the disc.

“CHECK INPUT” is displayed.

Wrong input source chosen.

ª Reselect the correct source.

MEMORY FULL/FINALIZE CD” is displayed.

CDRW has to be unfinalized for recording.

ªErase text or finalize disc to obtain memory space.

Recording is distorted.

Recording level is not correct.

ª Make sure the recording level is correct.

"DISC RECOVER" on display.

• Power failure has occurred during recording

ªWait for the CD recorder to repair the disc.
