CHARGING A SPARE BATTERY PACK

You can also charge and store a spare battery pack in the base. The spare battery pack fully charges in 15 hours.

1Press the tab on the spare battery pack compart-

ment and lift off the cover.

2Place the battery pack in the compartment as indicated by the polarity symbols (+ and –) marked inside. The SPARE BATT/CHARGING indicator on the base lights.

3Replace the cover.

SETTING THE DIALING MODE

Set the dialing mode for the type of service you have. If you are not sure which type you have, once the handset’s battery pack is fully charged, do this test.

1 Lift the handset, then

press PHONE and listen forPHONE the dial tone.

2Press any number other than 0.

Note: If your phone system requires that you dial an access code (9, for example) before you dial an outside number, do not press the access code either.
