Intercom

If you have more than one handset registered to your base, use the intercom feature for conversations between handsets.

Call another handset

1.From idle mode, press the intercom button INT, (or press

MENU/OK, then UP/DOWN to INTERCOM and press MENU/OK to select.)

If you have a two-handset system, your handset screen shows

CALLING OTHER HANDSET, and automatically rings the other handset.

If you have more than two handsets, your screen shows

INTERCOM TO:. Use the dialling keys to select the other handset(1-5). Your handset screen shows CALLING HANDSET

X. The other handset rings and its screen shows either OTHER HANDSET IS CALLING or HANDSET X IS CALLING.

2.To answer the intercom call, press TALK/R or SPEAKER on the other handset. Both handsets now show INTERCOM.

3.To end an intercom call, press TALK OFF/BACK, or place the

handset back in the telephone base or charger.

You can cancel the intercom call before it is answered by pressing TALK OFF/BACK on your originating handset.

If the other handset does not answer the intercom call within

100 seconds, is being used, or is out of range, your originating handset screen shows UNABLE TO CALL TRY AGAIN and returns to idle mode.

Press TALK OFF/BACK or MUTE/CLEAR on the other handset to temporarily silence the intercom ringer.

Transfer an external call to another handset (for multi-handset versions only.)

If you are on an external call, you can transfer the external call to another handset.

1.During an external call, press the intercom button INT. (Or press

MENU/OK, then UP/DOWN to TRANSFER, and press MENU/OK to select.)

If you have a two-handset system, your handset screen shows

CALLING OTHER HANDSET. The other handset rings and its screen shows OTHER HANDSET IS CALLING.

If you have more than two handsets, your screen shows

TRANSFER TO:. Use the dialling keys to select the other handset(1-5). Your screen CALLING HANDSET X. The other handset rings and its HANDSET X IS CALLING.
