Connecting Power to Base Unit

1.Choose a location for the base near an electrical outlet and a tele- phone jack. This phone requires a modular telephone jack and a standard electrical outlet (110V AC) not controlled by a wall switch.

2.Plug the DC connector to the base. Plug the AC adaptor into an electri- cal outlet.

Installation and Charge of Battery

1.Install the battery. Use only VTech batteries.

a)Remove battery compartment cover

by pressing on the indentation and sliding downward.

b)Align the two holes in the plug with the socket pins, then snap the plug into place.

c)Place the battery in the compartment with the wires in the lower right corner.

d)Replace the battery compartment cover.

e)If the battery is not already charged, place the handset in its base and allow to charge for 10 - 12 hours (or over- night). After that, be sure to place the handset in its base when not in use to ensure maximum daily performance.
