Auto Keypad Lock

You can enable/disable your radio’s auto keypad lock to avoid inadvertent key entry.

Procedure:

1cto access the menu.

2^ or vto Utilities and press c to select.

3^ or vto Radio Settings and press cto select.

4^ or vto Auto Keypad Lock and press cto select.

5Press cto enable Auto Keypad Lock. The display shows 9 beside Enabled.

OR

Press cto disable Auto Keypad Lock. The 9 disappears from beside Enabled.

Language

You can set your radio display to be in your required language.

Procedure:

1cto access the menu.

2^ or vto Utilities and press c to select.

3^ or vto Radio Settings and press cto select.

4^ or vto Languages and press cto select.

5Press ^ or vto the required language and press cto enable. 9 appears beside selected language.

Turning the LED Indicator On or Off

You can enable and disable the LED Indicator if needed.

Procedure:

1cto access the menu.

2^ or vto Utilities and press cto select.

3^ or v to Radio Settings and press cto select.

4^ or v to LED Indicator and press c to select.

5Press cto enable LED indicator. The display shows 9 beside Enabled.

OR

Press cto disable LED indicator. The 9 disappears from beside Enabled.

The display backlight, buttons, and keypad backlighting are automatically turned off if the LED indicator is enabled (see Controlling the Display Backlight on page 85).

NOTE: At Step 4, you can also use <or >to change the selected option.
