Creating directory entries

To create a new directory entry

1.Press MENU/SELECT in idle mode.

2.Press DIR or CID to scroll to >DIRECTORY, then press MENU/SELECT.

3.Press DIR or CID to scroll to >ADD CONTACT.

Press MENU/SELECT.

ENTER NUMBER

Enter the telephone number when prompted.

• Copy a number from redial:

a.Press REDIAL/PAUSE.

b.Press DIR or CID or press REDIAL/PAUSE repeatedly to locate the number to copy.

c.Press MENU/SELECT to copy the number.

-OR-

• Use the dial pad keys to enter a number (up to 30 digits).

– Press DIR or CID to move the cursor to the right or left.

Press and hold REDIAL/PAUSE to enter a three-second dialing pause (a P appears).

– Press DELETE to erase digits.

Press and hold DELETE to erase all digits.

6. Press MENU/SELECT to save the number in the display.

7. Enter the name when prompted. Use the dial pad keys and refer to the character chart (page 30) to enter a name (up to 15 characters). Each time you press a key, the character on that key appears. Additional key presses produce other characters on that key.

• Press 0 to add a space.
