Customizing your telephone

Follow the steps below to program the telephone. To stop at any time, press O. If the phone rings, program- ming stops automatically so you may answer the call.

Choose ringer sound (see note on next page)

1 Press @PROG/CHAN to begin programming.

2Press >until screen displays RINGER & setting.

3 Press Sto change current setting:

RINGER: 1

Default setting: 1

4Press >to display 1, 2, 3, 4, or OFF. You will hear a sample of each ringing type.

5 Press Sto select displayed ringing type and exit.

Set date and time

1Press @PROG/CHAN to begin programming.

2 Press >until screen displays DATE/TIME.

3 Press Sto view or change date and time:

1 Press @PROG/CHAN to begin programming.

2Press >until screen displays DIAL MODE & setting.

3 Press Sto change current setting:

DIAL MODE: TONE

Default setting: Tone

4 Press >to display TONE or PULSE.

5 Press Sto select displayed dial mode and exit.

Choose language

1 Press @PROG/CHAN to begin programming.

2Press >until screen displays LANGUAGE & setting.

3 Press Sto change current setting:

LANGUAGE: ENG.

Default setting: ENG

4 Press >to display ENG., FRA., or ESP.

DATE/TIME

01/01 12:00 AM

Default setting: Monday, 12:00 am, 2000

5 Press Sto select displayed language and exit.

4Press <or >to change month, then press S.

5 Repeat Step 4 to set day, hour, minute, and AM/PM. 6 Press S to save selection and exit.

NOTE: You can choose to set the time manually, or you can allow it to be set automatically with incoming Caller ID information. The time will be set automatically only if you subscribe to Caller ID service provided by your local telephone company (see page 5).

NOTE: Base ringer volume can be set by adjusting the switch on the side of the speakerphone base. This switch affects only speakerphone ringing volume; the handset volume remains unchanged.
