Mobile Voice Client 2050 for expert users

This section discusses the selections used to diagnose or correct error conditions, and are not used during normal operation of Mobile Voice Client 2050.

Client diagnostics

Client diagnostics are used to determine the connection status of the MVC 2050. Access client diagnostics from the Help > Diagnostics screen. See Figure 14 on page 30.

Diagnostics include:

Ping

TraceRoute

RUDP Ping

Ping tests whether the network destination in online.

TraceRoute is an operation for sending trace packets to trace the route of user datagram protocol (UDP) from local host to remote host.

RUDP Ping tests if the IP port is responding as a terminal proxy server (TPS).
