Additional configuration using the System Settings menu
This chapter describes additional configuration options found on the System Settings menu, which have not been described elsewhere in this document. Specifically, the functions used to modify Date and Time, the system update functionality contained in the Technical Features configuration option, and the Reset function.
Modifying the Date and Time
Use the Date and Time option on the System Settings configuration menu to set the system Date and Time on the Nortel IP Phone 1535. It is NOT required that you log in using the Admin Mode to access the Date and Time configuration option.
Modifying the Date and Time:
Step Action
1From Main Menu, select Settings > System Settings > Date and Time, and press OK.
2Enter the date (MM/DD/YYYY), and select OK.
3Enter the time (HH:MM), and select OK.

Accessing and activating the Reset function
The Nortel IP Phone 1535 incorporates two databases in which local data parameters are stored. The databases serve two basic functions:
•Phonebook: Stores information related to call activity, such as phone numbers and blocked call programming.
•Settings: Saves any system configuration entries made on the IP Phone 1535.
