Accessing and modifying the LAN Network Settings

To conﬁgure the IP Phone 1535 with network settings particular to your LAN environment, you must access and conﬁgure the parameters of the Network Settings option. With the LAN Network connection proﬁle enabled, you can access and conﬁgure the parameters of the Network Settings conﬁguration options:

1From Main Menu, select Settings > Proﬁle > LAN > Settings > Network Settings, and press OK to accept.

2Select the appropriate conﬁguration options and set network parameters (speciﬁc to your network conﬁguration) for the LAN connection proﬁle:

a.Details: Displays the network conﬁguration settings (MAC address, DHCP, IP address, Subnet Mask, Gateway and DNS) as currently conﬁgured on the IP Phone 1535.

b.DHCP: Used to set DHCP server information (for DHCP-enabled network environments) or static IP Address information (for DHCP-disabled network environments).

DHCP must be disabled to access further conﬁguration options (IP Address, Subnet Mask, Gateway, and DNS1/DNS2 options). If you set DHCP to enabled, these options are automatically conﬁgured (through the network DHCP server) after the IP Phone 1535 connects to the network.

If manually conﬁguring the DHCP options, the IP Phone 1535 will attempt to connect to the network using the parameters you set. Should a connection failure occur in using your manual DHCP values, the IP Phone 1535 will retain its current conﬁguration values. Check your values for correctness and retry the connection.

c.IP Address: View or change network IP address information.

d.Subnet Mask: View or change the Subnet Mask information.

e.Gateway: View or change the default Gateway Address information.

f.DNS1/DNS2: View or change the primary and secondary Domain Name Servers.
