You can use Remote Operation from most touchtone or cellular phones to retrieve, replay, erase and save messages or to record new outgoing messages in each of the three mailboxes.

If you call from a rotary or pulse telephone, use Casio Phonemate’s Touchtone Dialer. Use the accessory order form on page 37 to order one.

REMOTE ACCESS CODE

The remote code is the same for all three mailboxes. The TC-540 is shipped with the code set to 1-2-3. Make sure the unit is turned on.

1Lift the lid under the handset and press SET/CHECK CODE. The current 3- digit access code will be announced.

3Press SKIP to advance or REPEAT to reverse the number. Press SET/ CHECK CODE again when the desired first digit appears in the display. You will hear:

6Press SKIP or REPEAT to change the third digit.

7Press SET/CHECK CODE again. A synthesized voice will announce the remote access code.
