To connect to a computer using the CASSIOPEIA serial cable

Important

Before connecting your CASSIOPEIA to a computer, make sure you first install the PC Connect software on your computer. Use the steps below to connect the CASSIOPEIA to your computer when prompted to do so during the software installation procedure.

1.Plug the serial cable into the serial port of your computer.

2.Turn off your CASSIOPEIA.

3.Connect the other end of the serial cable to your CASSIOPEIA.

The minimum system configuration required for running PC Connect software is described below.

Microsoft® Windows® 2000 Professional Service Pack 2, Microsoft Windows NT® Workstation 4.0 with Service Pack 6a, Microsoft Windows Millennium Edition (Windows Me), Microsoft Windows 98, Microsoft Windows 95 OSR2. (U.S. version)

Desktop computer with a Pentium® processor for Windows NT (166 MHz required for Windows 2000)

Desktop computer with a Pentium processor for Windows Me (150 MHz required for Windows Me)

Desktop computer with a 486/66 DX or higher processor (Pentium P90 recommended) for Windows 95/98
