Answering System Features (KX-TG7120/KX-TG7122/KX-TG7123)

Note:

L If you have stored the remote access code, you can turn on answering system by calling the unit even when it is turned off.

Using the answering system remotely

1Dial your phone number from a touch tone phone.

2After the greeting message starts, enter your remote access code.

L The unit will announce the number of new messages.

L After 3 seconds, voice guidance starts.

3Follow the voice guidance prompts as necessary.

Note:

L You can hang up at any time.

L You can ignore the voice guidance and control the unit using remote commands (page 26).

Voice guidance

During remote operation, the unit’s voice guidance will prompt you to press {1} to perform a specific operation, or press {2} to listen to more available operations.

Note:

L If less than 5 minutes of recording time is available, the unit will announce the remaining recording time after the last message is played back.

Turning on the answering system remotely

If the answering system is off, you can turn it on remotely.

1Dial your phone number from a touch tone phone.

2Let the phone ring 20 times. L A long beep will be heard.

3Enter your remote access code within 10 seconds after the long beep.

L The greeting message is played back.

L You can hang up, or enter your remote access code again and begin remote operation.
