Additional handsets

Up to 6 handsets can be registered to the base unit.

Registering a handset to the base unit

The supplied handset and base unit are pre-registered. If for some reason the handset is not registered to the base unit, re-register the handset.

1Handset:

{MENU} i{#}{1}{3}{0}

2Base unit:

Press and hold {LOCATOR} for about 5 seconds until the indicators for VOICE MAIL turn on. (No registration tone)

L If all registered handsets start ringing, press the same button to stop. Then repeat this step.

L The next step must be completed within 90 seconds.

3Handset:

Press {OK}, then wait until a long beep sounds.

Note:

L When you purchase an additional handset, refer to the additional handset’s installation manual for registration.

Deregistering a handset

A handset can cancel its own registration (or the registration of

another handset) that is stored to the base unit. This allows the handset to end its wireless connection with the system.

3Select the handset(s) you want to cancel by pressing the desired handset number.

L The selected handset number(s) flashes.

L To cancel a selected handset number, press the number again. The number stops flashing.

4{OK} i{V}/{^}: Yesi

{SELECT}

L When you cancel a different handset than the one you are now using, press {OFF} to exit.
