Standby Mode - The

handset is not in use and has not been pressed.

Setting the DND to on while the answering system is off turns the answering system on automatically. The answering system returns to the original setting when you cancel the DND.

If you press ans on/ off when the DND and the answering system is on, both of the DND and the answering system will turn off.

DO NOT DISTURB (DND)

DND allows you to mute the ringer of the handset and the base at once. Additionally, if you have more than one handset, ringer for all handsets will be muted. To do this, in the standby mode, press and hold do not disturb on the base. You will hear a confirmation tone and the DND LED illuminates. To cancel, press do not disturb again. You can also mute the ringer tone while the phone is ringing by pressing do not disturb on the base.

To mute the ringer tone for each handset or the base temporarily, when the phone is ringing:

-Press on the handset, or

-Press play/stop on the base.

The ringer tone will return to the previous setting starting with the next incoming call.

MUTE MICROPHONE

With the handset

You can temporarily turn off the microphone so that the person you are talking with cannot hear you.

1)Press /del during talk mode (while phone is in use).

2)Press /vol/ or /vol/ to move the pointer to Mute and then .

Mute On and appear in the display. To cancel muting, repeat above step again when Mute is set to on, Mute Off appears.

With the base

While using the base speakerphone, press mute/find handset on the base to turn Off

the microphone. Press mute/find handset again or press to cancel muting.
