Function Settings

View Mode DVD-V VCD CD

Fill:Pictures are expanded horizontally and vertically to fit the shape of the screen. No picture cropping.

Original: Pictures are displayed in their original aspect ratios.

Auto Fit: Aspect ratios are automatically adjusted. Masking bars may appear on the top and bottom or left and right of picture.

Pan Scan: Pictures are cropped horizontally or vertically to fit the shape of the screen.

Note

Actual views may depends on disc content or the TV.

You may occasionally change the setting to your preference.

Video out DVD-V VCD CD

Off:

For normal use.

Playback pictures appear on the LCD of this player. When the player is turned on, this mode is selected.

CVBS/S-VIDEO:

Select when you want to view playback pictures on a TV connected via the AV OUT jack or the S VIDEO jack.

Component-480i:

Select when you want to view playback pictures on an interlace (480i) TV connected via the COMPONENT VIDEO connector.

Component-480p:

Select when you want to view playback pictures on a progressive (480p) TV connected via the COMPONENT VIDEO connector.

Note

Selecting options other than “Off” turns off the LCD of the player. Be sure to finish the connection to a TV before making this setting, so that the connected TV can display the player’s video signals.
