Choosing a Digital Sound Format (Dolby Digital or PCM)

Both analog and digital sounds can be output from the rear-panel connectors on your Set-Top Box. The digital sound outputs are optical and coaxial connectors labeled “Dolby Digital Output”.

After connecting an optical or a coaxial digital-audio component, you must specify the transmission format (Dolby Digital or PCM, as appropriate to your component).

1 Press the MENU button on the remote control.

Use the Menu Up/Down buttons

2 to highlight the Setup icon and press ENTER.

Use the Menu Up/Down buttons to highlight the sound outpur icon and press ENTER.

Use the Menu Up/Down buttons

3 to choose the appropriate format (Dolby D or PCM) and press

ENTER.
