Shuttle

In Play mode, Shuttle >> gradually increases the cue speed: Double Speed playback

Search.

Shuttle << gradually slows down the tape, then goes into Slow mode, Still mode, Reverse Picture Search and Reverse Jet Search.

Each time you press the SHUTTLE button, the playback speed is different accordingly.

Using Automatic Tracking

The Tracking adjustment removes the white lines that sometimes appear during playback because of slight differences in recording decks. The TRK button will automatically align the recorded tracks with the playback heads to solve this problem. You may also set tracking manually.

Insert and play a video cassette tape.

As soon as the tape begins to play, the VCR begins automatic tracking.

If automatic tracking doesn’t remove the streaks from the picture, press and hold the TRK or TRK button until the streaks disappear.
