RADIO MODE

Switching PTY on/off

Press the MENU button 8.

Press the or button : repeat- edly until “PTY ON” or “PTY OFF” appears on the display.

Press the or button : to switch PTY on (ON) or off (OFF).

When PTY is activated, PTY lights up on the display.

Press the MENU button 8 or OK

Selecting programme type and starting a search

Press the or button :.

The current programme type appears on the display.

If you would like to select a differ- ent programme type, you can switch to a different programme

type by pressing the or button : within the time the programme is displayed.

Or

Press one of the buttons 1 - 6 > to select the programme type stored on that particular button.

The selected programme appears brief- ly on the display.

Press the or button : to start the search.

The next station corresponding to your selected programme type will then be set.

Storing the programme type on the preset station buttons

Use the or button : to select a programme type.

Hold down the desired preset sta- tion button 1 - 6 > for more than two seconds.

The programme type is now stored on

the selected preset station button 1 - 6 >.

Optimising radio reception

High-frequency cut-off feature (HICUT)

The HiCut function improves the sound during poor radio reception (only FM). If interference occurs, the treble is au- tomatically reduced and thus also the interference level.

Switching HiCut on/off

Press the MENU button 8.

Press the button : repeatedly until “HICUT” appears on the dis- play.

Use the or button : to select

HICUT.

“HICUT 0” denotes no treble reduction, “HICUT 3” the greatest automatic reduc- tion of the treble and the interference level.

Press the MENU button 8 or OK
