EQUALIZER (ACAPULCO MP52)

Equalizer for Acapulco MP52

This unit is equipped with an automatic digital sound calibration feature. It pro- vides you with three self-calibrating 5- band equalizers.

The USER1 - USER3 equalizers can be calibrated automatically with the help of a special calibration microphone. You can obtain this microphone from your Blaupunkt dealer.

The automatically ascertained values can also be adjusted manually. If you want to adjust the equalizer manually, please read the section entitled “Adjust- ing the digital equalizer”.

In addition, the unit is equipped with sound presets.

Switching the equalizer on/off

To activate the equalizer,

keep the DEQ+ button < pressed until DEQ lights up in the display and “EQ ON” is displayed briefly.

To deactivate the equalizer,

keep the DEQ+ button < pressed until DEQ disappears from the dis- play and “EQ OFF” is displayed briefly.

Automatic sound calibration

You can electronically calibrate and store values for three different situations or users, e.g.:

USER 1 for the driver only

USER 2 for the driver and front

passenger

USER 3 for the front and rear occupants

Hold the microphone in the appropriate position whilst calibration is taking place.

The microphone position for situation 1

DEUTSCH

ENGLISH

For situation 2, the microphone is be-

tween the driver and passenger.

For Situation 3, it is in the middle of the

 

vehicle interior (left/right, front/back).

Really quiet surroundings are required

for the calibration. Any extraneous noise

will distort the measured values.
