Amplifier/Sub-Out

The car sound system provides connec- tions that allow you to connect external amplifiers. In addition, you can connect a subwoofer to the integrated low-pass filter of the device. For this purpose, the ampli- fier and subwoofer must be connected as described in the installation instructions.

We recommend you use well-matched products from the Blaupunkt or Velocity product ranges.

Switching the internal amplifier on/off

If you are using external amplifiers, you can switch off the device’s internal amplifier ("Internal Amp Off" setting).

Note:

Please check this setting if the loud- speakers do not emit any sound.

￿Press the MENU button 9.

￿Press the softkey 5 with the display label "VARIOUS".

￿Press the softkey 5 with the display label "AMP ON" repeatedly until the de- sired setting "INTERNAL AMP ON" or "INTERNAL AMP OFF" appears.

If the internal amplifier is switched on, the softkey "AMP ON" is highlighted in dark.

￿Press the OK joystick 8or the MENU button 9to exit the menu.

The settings are saved.

External audio sources

You can connect up to two external audio sources to the device. Audio sources can, for example, be portable CD players, Mini Disc players or MP3 players.

The first external audio source can be con- nected instead of a CD changer (AUX1).

The second external audio source (AUX2) can be connected in addition to the CD changer or AUX1.

Instead of AUX2, you can connect a naviga- tion system. For further details, read the section "Navigation audio" in the chapter "Adjusting the volume".

To be able to use the AUX inputs, you must activate the AUX inputs in the setup menu.

If you want to connect an external audio source, you will need an adapter cable. This cable is available from a specialised Blau- punkt dealer.
