Equalizer for Daytona MP53
This car radio is fitted with three para- metric digital equalizers, which can be set individually. This means you have the means to save and request differ- ent equalizer settings for different situ- ations (eg only driver, driver and front passenger or vehicle occupants in front and back).
“Parametric” means that for each of the five filters, one frequency can be indi- vidually raised or lowered (GAIN +8 to

Notes on adjusting the equalizer
We recommend you use a CD you are familiar with when adjusting the equal- izer.
Before adjusting the equalizer, set the tone and volume balance to zero. To do this, please see the chapter “Tone and volume balance”.
➮Listen to the CD.
➮Evaluate the tone impression ac- cording to your taste.
➮Now consult the chart “An aid to adjusting the equalizer” in the “Sound impression” section.
➮Set the equalizer values as de- scribed under “What to do”.
Switching the equalizer on/off
These filters can be set without meas- uring equipment. This means that the sound quality inside the vehicle can be greatly influenced.
Presets for different musical styles (SND PRESETS) can also be selected.
➮To switch on the equalizer, hold down the DEQ button < until EQ lights up on the display “EQ ON” is briefly displayed.
➮To switch on the equalizer, hold down the DEQ button < until EQ disappears from the display “EQ OFF” is briefly displayed.
