EQUALIZER (DAYTONA MP53)

Equalizer for Daytona MP53

This car radio is fitted with three para- metric digital equalizers, which can be set individually. This means you have the means to save and request differ- ent equalizer settings for different situ- ations (eg only driver, driver and front passenger or vehicle occupants in front and back).

“Parametric” means that for each of the five filters, one frequency can be indi- vidually raised or lowered (GAIN +8 to -8). The following filters are available:

Notes on adjusting the equalizer

We recommend you use a CD you are familiar with when adjusting the equal- izer.

Before adjusting the equalizer, set the tone and volume balance to zero. To do this, please see the chapter “Tone and volume balance”.

Listen to the CD.

Evaluate the tone impression ac- cording to your taste.

Now consult the chart “An aid to adjusting the equalizer” in the “Sound impression” section.

Set the equalizer values as de- scribed under “What to do”.

Switching the equalizer on/off

These filters can be set without meas- uring equipment. This means that the sound quality inside the vehicle can be greatly influenced.

Presets for different musical styles (SND PRESETS) can also be selected.

To switch on the equalizer, hold down the DEQ button < until EQ lights up on the display “EQ ON” is briefly displayed.

To switch on the equalizer, hold down the DEQ button < until EQ disappears from the display “EQ OFF” is briefly displayed.
