Thru-the-wall Installation

Not following Installation Instructions for mounting your air conditioner can result in property damage, injury, or death.

STEP 1. $IWHUUHPRYLQJWKHXQLWIURPVKLSSLQJFDUERQVOLGHFKDVVLVRXW of cabinet (See Figure 16, page 25).

STEP 2. 5HPRYH the shell channel from the top of the cabinet (See Figure 15, page 24).

STEP 3. /$<287&XWDQGIUDPHLQDQRSHQLQJLQWKHGHVLUHGZDOODUHD using the illustration as a guide (See Figure 23).

STEP 4. Place the cabinet in the framed opening.

NOTE: Measure and shim void spaces between the side of cabinet and wood framing before securing to wall.

STEP 5. 3RVLWLRQWKHIURQWHGJHWRH[WHQGLQWRWKHURRPPLQLPXP at top of cabinet and 1" minimum at bottom (See Figure 24).

STEP 6. 6HFXUHHDFKVLGHRIWKHFDELQHWZLWK1R[KH[KHDG VFUHZV LWHPSDJH RUQDLOVWKURXJKWKHKROHVLQWKH sides.

NOTE: $OWHUQDWH IDVWHQHUV ZKLFK PD\ EH XVHG IRU VHFXULQJ WKH XQLW cabinet to a wall, including masonry walls, are not furnished (available at local hardware stores).
