Keep fingers AWAY from trigger when not driving fasteners to avoid accidental firing. Never carry tool with finger on trigger. In “Contact Actuation Mode” tool will fire a fastener if safety is bumped while trigger is depressed.

Never point tool at yourself or others.

Never attempt to drive a fastener into material that is too hard, or at too steep an angle, or near the edge of the workpiece. The fastener can ricochet causing personal injury.

Disconnect tool from air supply before performing maintenance, clearing a jammed fastener, leaving work area, moving tool to another location, or handing the tool to another person.

Clean and inspect tool daily. Carefully check for proper operation of trigger and safety mechanism. Do Not use the tool unless both the trigger and the safety mechanism are functional, or if the tool is leaking air or needs any other repair.

The depth to which a fastener is driven is controlled by the depth adjustment

(A)Fig. 25. The depth of drive is factory adjusted to a maximum setting. Test fire a fastener and check depth. If a change is desired: loosen locking screw

(B)Fig. 25, slide adjustment to desired position and retighten locking screw (sliding the two members closer together increases the depth of drive, sliding the two members farther apart decreases the depth of drive). Test fire another fastener and check depth. Repeat as necessary to achieve desired results. The amount of air pressure required will vary depending on the size of the fastener and the material being fastened. Experiment with the air pressure setting to determine the lowest setting that will consistently perform the job at hand. Air pressure in excess of that required can cause premature wear and/or damage to the tool.

A rubber nose cushion (C) Fig. 25, is provided to reduce marring of the work surface. The rubber cushion can be pulled off to provide increased depth-of- drive for toe-nailing applications.

Disconnect tool from air supply before removing or re- installing rubber cushion.

FC350 specifications

The Porter-Cable FC350 is a versatile and robust finishing nailer designed for professionals and DIY enthusiasts who demand performance and reliability in their tools. Known for its efficient power and features, the FC350 has become a staple in various applications, particularly in trim work, cabinetry, and furniture assembly.

One of the standout features of the FC350 is its lightweight design, which enhances maneuverability while reducing operator fatigue during extended use. Weighing in at just under 6 pounds, it is easy to handle and position successfully, making it ideal for overhead and awkward angles. The ergonomic handle provides a comfortable grip, further enhancing its usability in challenging conditions.

The FC350 operates using a reliable and efficient pneumatic system, requiring an air compressor to function. It boasts a firing speed of up to 10 nails per minute, allowing for quick and efficient completion of projects. The depth adjustment feature enables users to control how deep the nails are driven, providing greater precision and adaptability to various materials. This is essential when working with different types of trim or when delicate work is involved.

Another notable characteristic of the FC350 is its 360-degree exhaust system that directs air away from the operator and the work surface. This not only keeps the workspace clean but also enhances safety by reducing the risk of debris and dust impacting the nailer's performance.

The tool features a tool-free jam release mechanism, enabling users to quickly and easily clear any jams that may occur without the need for additional tools. This quick access to the nail compartment ensures minimal downtime, allowing for more efficient work.

The FC350 is compatible with 18-gauge nails ranging from 1 to 2 inches in length, making it suitable for a wide range of fastening applications. It also features a sequential firing mode for greater control, ensuring precise placement even in intricate projects.

In summary, the Porter-Cable FC350 finishing nailer stands out for its combination of lightweight design, powerful pneumatic operation, convenient features, and versatility. It's a reliable choice for anyone looking to achieve professional-grade results in finishing applications. Whether you are a seasoned contractor or a weekend warrior, the FC350 will enhance productivity and deliver superior results on every project.
