7-1. Routine Maintenance

Y Disconnect power before maintaining.

Replace unreadable labels.

Clean and tighten weld terminals.

Repair or replace cracked weld cable.

Repair or replace cracked gas hose.

Replace o-ring in Electrode/Gas

Output receptacle if cracked.

Blow out or vacuum inside.

Place line disconnect switch in On position (see Section 5-5).

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

Check and replace line fuse(s), if necessary, or reset circuit breaker (see Section 5-5).

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

Check for proper input power connections (see Section 5-5).

 

 

No weld output; fan on.

Be sure Range/Polarity switch is not set between positions.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

Tighten remote control connection to Remote 14 receptacle.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

Check remote control (see remote control Owner’s Manual).

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

Unit overheated. Allow unit to cool (see Section 4-3).

 

 

Fan not operating; weld output

Check for and remove anything blocking fan movement.
