Note: Use the Create Hot Spare (Manual) when assigning specific drives or viewing/making changes to the current hot spare coverage. The manual process is covered in the Advanced Scenarios section on page 37.

This will bring you to the Configure Hot Spares (Automatic) window. This option will automatically assign the proper number of hot spare drives required to provide optimal coverage for the storage array.
Select Assign and you will be informed if this task was completed.
The above screen shot will provide confirmation of the number of hot spares that have been configured.
