BO4557, BO4558, BO4555, BO4556 specifications

The Makita BO4556, BO4555, BO4558, and BO4557 models represent a series of compact and powerful palm sanders designed to tackle a variety of sanding tasks. These sanders are particularly favored for their user-friendly operation and consistent performance, making them ideal for both professionals and DIY enthusiasts.

Starting with the BO4556, this model is equipped with a 2.0 AMP motor that delivers an impressive speed of up to 14,000 OPM (orbits per minute). Its ergonomic design includes a rubberized grip for comfort during extended use, reducing hand fatigue. The BO4556 features an easy-to-use clamp system for quick and effortless sandpaper changes. Its dust bag effectively captures debris, promoting a clean working environment.

The BO4555 shares many characteristics with the BO4556, maintaining a lightweight and compact design while also employing a 2.0 AMP motor. It includes an innovative through-the-pad dust collection system, which enhances dust extraction and visibility. Both models have a 1/4-inch sheet size and a durable, high-quality build that ensures longevity even in demanding work conditions.

The BO4558 takes it a step further with additional features such as a more robust dust collection system and an improved pad design. The design allows for greater efficiency, making it ideal for larger sanding tasks. With a similar motor capacity, the BO4558 boasts variable speed options to cater to different materials and applications, delivering precise control over sanding pressure.

Meanwhile, the BO4557 offers a slightly altered design with further enhancements in ergonomics and user comfort. The rubberized grip is designed to minimize vibrations, thus allowing for extended hours of work without discomfort. This model also emphasizes noise reduction, making it quieter during operation compared to its counterparts.

All four models are built with Makita's reliability and adherence to high-quality standards, making them suitable for a variety of applications, including furniture refinishing, drywall sanding, and automotive work. The combination of lightweight design, powerful performance, and easy maintenance ensures that these palm sanders are essential tools for achieving smooth, professional finishes. With Makita’s engineering excellence, the BO4556, BO4555, BO4558, and BO4557 stand out as top choices in the palm sander market.
