Using the Wireless Dock (WiDock)

The HP Wireless Dock (WiDock) allows the computer to connect via its WiGig connection to devices that are attached to the dock, such as keyboards, monitors and other displays, and wired network connections.

NOTE: The WiDock and the device it is connecting to must be aligned. Do not place the WiDock behind any other device that might block its signal.

For more information about using the WiDock, see the wireless dock user guide.

Connecting to a wired network

There are 2 kinds of wired connections: local area network (LAN) and modem connection. A LAN connection uses a network cable and is much faster than a modem, which uses a telephone cable. Both cables are sold separately.

WARNING! To reduce the risk of electric shock, fire, or damage to the equipment, do not plug a modem cable or telephone cable into an RJ-45 (network) jack.
