Firmware Upgrade Utility
The Windows-based Firmware Upgrade Utility (FWUpgrade.exe) provides a smooth, automated process for upgrading the switch firmware. New firmware upgrade packages are posted on the HP website as new firmware revisions become available at
http://h18004.www1.hp.com/products/servers/proliantstorage/rack-options/list.html#console.
Before You Begin
1.From a computer that is not part of the KVM installation, go to the HP website and download the firmware upgrade package to the computer.
2.Power off the switch.
a.Unplug the KVM cables from the back of the switch.
b.Unplug the power cable from the power jack on the switch rear panel.
3.Use the RJ-11 firmware upgrade cable provided with the unit to connect a COM port on the computer used in step 1 to the Firmware Upgrade port on the switch rear panel.
