DDR SYNCH DRAM DIMM NON-ECC MEMORY

The HP business desktop dx5150 PC has four memory DIMM slots and supports dual channel memory configurations. It is required to add memory in pairs; memory should be added in pairs and should be the same type. For example, 2x128-MB memory modules will perform better on some applications than 1x256-MB memory module because of the dual channel memory support on the dx5150.

STANDARD MEMORY

Configurations can be selected with a 256-MB, 512-MB, 1024-MB, or 2048-MB memory. Memory types supported include PC3200 (DDR 400)

Various combinations of single-DIMM (for future upgradeability) and double-DIMM (for enhanced dual-channel memory performance) will be offered. There are four DIMM slots available. 2 Of them are black, and two of them are blue to indicate the two different channels. For best performance populate the DIMMs in pairs (Make sure to use identical memory DIMMs). Also, if only Two single sided matched pairs are used place them in the Black Slots. Refer to the dx5150 service guide or the Hardware reference guide for supported memory configurations.
