HP Adaptive Cooling Technology

HP Adaptive Cooling Technology of the HP POD 240a combines a traditional cold aisle/hot aisle layout with an adanced control system that intelligently cools IT equipment—without the need of a chiller plant. Adaptive Cooling Technology uses a specially designed HVAC system and several operating modes to use ambient air as much as possible to achieve high cooling efficency.

Using policy controls that you preset, HP Adaptive Cooling Technology performs the following functions:

Defines environmental operation envelope

Controls the evacuation of hot aisle air into the environment

Monitors air handler functionality and reports on environmental conditions and system operation

HP Adaptive Cooling Technology components identified in Figure 6 maintain the correct relative humidity and temperature levels within the cold aisle.
