(Set) Headings

By default all mail messages are listed with many lines of “header” information. These include the standard headers such as “From”, “To”, “Date”, “Subject”, and “Cc”, as well as poten- tially many others. While all these header lines are necessary to conform to the Internet mail stan- dard under which we operate, it is not necessarily useful to casual readers, and for this reason the listing of all these “special” header lines can be suppressed automatically. To suppress all the mes- sage headers except the traditional “From”, “To”, “Cc”, “Date”, and “Subject”, set the

HEADING” option “MIN”. Otherwise all headers in the messages are displayed when you read them.

To change the selection, highlight the “Headings” item under the Display menu and hit the “RETURN” key. Each time you hit the “RETURN” key the value will alternate between FULL and MIN.
