Making Connections

To connect an external keyboard

You can use the built-in and external keyboards while docked.

1. Attach the keyboard cable to the docking system.

2. Dock the OmniBook.

Hint

If you are using a docking system with an external keyboard, substitute the

 

keystrokes CTRL+ALT for Fn. You must also select the option

 

Enable External Fn key:

1. Press Fn+F2 to open the System Configuration Utility.

2. Press ALT+I to open the Input/Output menu.

3. Select External Devices.

4. Select the Enable External FN Key check box.

To connect a PS/2 mouse

The OmniBook has a PS/2 mouse driver installed. When you dock, the OmniBook automatically detects and sets up the mouse.

1.Attach the mouse cable to the docking system.

2.Dock the OmniBook.

3.If you’re not using Windows 95, reboot the OmniBook.
