NOTE: The system board spare part kit includes replacement thermal material. Replacement thermal material is also available in the Thermal Material Kit, spare part number 634433-001.

For use only with computer models equipped with the AMD A60M chipset and a graphics	649948-001
subsystem with UMA video memory

Intel processor:

For use only with computer models equipped with the Intel HM65 chipset and a graphics	650199-001
subsystem with 1024 MB of discrete video memory, BACO

For use only with computer models equipped with the Intel HM65 chipset and a graphics	650198-001
subsystem with 512 MB of discrete video memory, supports BACO

For use only with computer models equipped with an HM65 chipset and a graphics subsystem with	636373-001
UMA video memory

Before removing the system board, follow these steps:

1.Shut down the computer. If you are unsure whether the computer is off or in Hibernation, turn the computer on, and then shut it down through the operating system.

2.Disconnect all external devices connected to the computer.

3.Disconnect the power from the computer by first unplugging the power cord from the AC outlet and then unplugging the AC adapter from the computer.

4.Remove the battery (see Battery on page 37), and then remove the following components:

●Optical drive (see Optical drive on page 39)

●Hard drive (see Hard drive or SSD on page 41)

●RTC battery (see RTC battery on page 43)

●WLAN module (see WLAN module on page 45)

●Keyboard (see Keyboard on page 47)

●Top cover (see Top cover on page 50)

When replacing the system board, be sure that the following components are removed from the defective system board and installed on the replacement system board:

●Memory module (see Memory module on page 44)

●Fan and heat sink (see Fan and heat sink on page 65)

●Processor (see Processor on page 72)
