You can clean the pickup roller rather than replace it.

Remove the pickup roller as described in steps 1 through 5 of Changing the pickup roller.

1Dab a lint-free cloth in isopropyl alcohol, and scrub the roller.

WARNING!

Alcohol is flammable. Keep the alcohol and cloth away from an open flame. Before you close the printer and plug in the power cord, allow the alcohol to dry completely.

2Using a dry, lint-free cloth, wipe the pickup roller to remove loosened dirt.

3Allow the pickup roller to dry completely before you reinstall it in the printer (see steps 6 through 9 of Changing the pickup roller).
