2.6 Expansion Slots (PCI and PCI Express Slots)

E3C224-4L/E3C224:

There are 2 PCI slots and 4 PCI Express slots on the motherboard.

PCI slot: The PCI1 and PCI2 slot are used to install expansion cards that have 32-bit PCI interface.

PCIE slots:

PCIE3 (PCIE 2.0 x1 slot) is used for PCI Express x1 lane width cards, such as a Gigabit LAN card or SATA2 card, etc.

PCIE4 and PCIE6 (PCIE 3.0 x16 slot) are used for PCI Express x16 lane width graphics cards.

PCIE5 (PCIE 3.0 x4 slot) is used for PCI Express x4 lane width cards.

Please note that PCIE3 and PCIE5 are available ONLY when

the second CPU (CPU_AP1) is installed.

E3C224-V+:

There are 5 PCI Express slots on the motherboard.

PCIE slots:

PCIE3 (PCIE 2.0 x1 slot) is used for PCI Express x1 lane width cards, such as a Gigabit LAN card or SATA2 card, etc.
