iSCENE

This camcorder automatically sets the shutter speed and aperture according to the subject's brightness for optimum recording. You can also select one of a number of setting modes that automatically match the shutter speed and aperture to the subject's conditions, the recording environment, or your purpose for shooting.

2.Select the desired submenu item with the Control button (￿ / ￿) ￿ OK button.

Submenu items

Auto: You can shoot images in Auto adjustment mode.

Sports ( ): Reduces blurring when recording rapidly moving subjects such as in golf or tennis. If the Sports mode is used under a fluorescent light, the image may flicker. In this case, use the Auto mode for recording.

Portrait ( ): Creates a shallow depth of field so that the person or subject appears against a softened background. The portrait mode is most effective when used outdoors. EV value is automatically adjusted to the optimal.

Spotlight ( ): Prevents overexposure of subject portrait face, etc. when strong light strikes the subject, as in a wedding or on stage.

Beach ( ): Where sunlight is intense such as on a beach.

Snow ( ): Where refl ection of light is intense such as in a snowfield.

High Speed ( ): Reduces blurring objects in rapid motion.

Food ( ): Recording close-up objects in high saturation.

Waterfall ( ): In conditions such as waterfall

or a fountain.

Daylight ( ): Recording in broad daylight.

Cloudy ( ): Recording in cloudy weather.

Fluorescent ( ): Recording under white fluorescent lights.

Tungsten ( ): Recording under a white tungsten lamp.

Night ( ): Recording in low light.

Darkness ( ): Recording in extremely low light.
