Wind Cut

You can reduce wind noise when recording sound with the built-in microphone. If "Wind Cut : On" is set, the low-frequency components in the sound picked up by the microphone will be cut off during recording. This makes it easier to hear voices and sound during playback. Use Wind Cut when recording in windy places such as a beach.

1.Press the MENU button ￿ Control button (￿ / ￿) ￿

"Wind Cut."

2.Select the desired submenu item with the Control button (￿ / ￿) ￿ OK button.

Submenu items

Off: Disables the function.

On ( ): Minimizes wind noise or other noise while recording.

When "Wind Cut" is "On", some low frequency sound is eliminated along with the sound of the wind.

Digital Zoom

You can select the maximum zoom level if you want to zoom to a level greater than 10x (the default setting) during recording. Zoom up to 10x is achieved optically, and after that, zoom up to 1200X is achieved digitally. Note that the image quality decreases when you use the digital zoom.

2.Select the desired submenu item with the Control button (￿ / ￿) ￿ OK button.

3.Press the MENU button to exit the menu.

Submenu items

Off: Only optical zoom is available up to 10x.

On: Digital zoom is available up to 1200x. Moving the zoom lever displays the digital zoom bar.

This right side of the bar shows the digital zooming zone.

The zooming zone appears when you move the zoom lever.
