F. Tools and Supplies Needed

H. Inspect Fireplace and Components

Before beginning the installation be sure the following tools and building supplies are available:

Reciprocating saw

Framing material

Pliers

Non-combustible sealant

Hammer

Gloves

Phillips screwdriver

Framing square

Flat blade screwdriver

Electric drill and bits

Plumb line

Safety glasses

Level

Tape measure

1/2-3/4 in. length, #6 or #8 self-drilling screws Misc. screws and nails

G. Typical Fireplace Components

Hearth Molded brick panel

-Molded brick panel kit must be installed, but is sold separately

Grate Assembly

Transition Assembly (14-11 in.)

-Must be installed immediately on top of the fireplace

Outside Air Kits

-Duct must be installed, but sold separately

Warning! Risk of Fire and/or Explosion! Damaged parts could impair safe operation. Do NOT install dam- aged, incomplete or substitute components. Keep fireplace dry.

Remove fireplace from pallet.

Remove fireplace and components from packaging and inspect for damage.

Remove the transition, hearth molded brick panel, screens and grate from inside the unit.

Vent system components, doors, remaining molded brick panels and mortar are shipped in separate packages.

Report to your dealer any parts damaged in shipment.

Read all the instructions before starting the installation. Follow these instructions carefully during the installation to ensure maximum safety and benefit.
