Catalytic Combustor

The combustor should be cleaned annually to ensure optimal performance. Follow the procedure below.

Remove the Combustor Module

1.Be sure the heater is COLD.

2.Remove the front plate, top grille and screen. (Fig. 36)

3.Use the phillips screwdriver to remove the two sheet metal screws that secure the combustor to the top of the firebox. (Fig. 37) Use a flat screwdrive to lift the unit up and out through the front of the stove.

Clean the Combustor Module

1.Clean the outer surface of the filter with the brush at- tachment of your vacuum sweeper to remove loose dirt.

2.Submerge the filter in a mild soapy water solution. Rinse thoroughly with distilled water.

3.Replace in heater when dry.

Replace the Combustor Module

1.Slide the combustor through the front opening of the stove and insert it into the housing on top of the firebox. Secure with the two sheet metal screws.

2.Replace the glass panel and front.
