Assembly

1Pull upward on the recessed handle molded into the hopper and lift the hopper off the machine.

2Packed inside the hopper are all items needed for the complete machine assembly, belt, side broom, side broom arm assembly and hardware package (excluding the handle that is packed separately).

3Mount the handle to the chassis by lining up the holes in both parts (Figure 1) and secure with the (4) 5/16-18x3-1/4" “A” bolts and (4) “B” thumb nuts from the hardware package.

4Lift the right rear wheel off the floor and position the belt around the pulley on the inside of the rear wheel.

5Pull the belt forward through the U shaped opening of the side broom mount bracket “C” (Figure 1) and twist the belt a 1/4 turn counter clockwise (Figure 2).

NOTE: The part of the belt from the top of the rear wheel will move away from the machine.

6Grip in one hand the side broom arm assembly “D” and place the belt around the pulley “E”, then attach the arm assembly to the chasses mount bracket aligning the pins inside the holes and secure using the 1/4-20 x 1/2" screw “F” as shown in Figure 1.

7Route the belt between the (2) “G” white plastic pulleys, as shown in Figure 2.

8Install the bumper disc “H” and side broom “I” to the side broom arm as shown using the (3) 1/4-20 x 3/4" “J” screws from the hardware package (Figure 1).

9Lower the side broom arm and adjust the hand crank “K” so that about 1/3 of the bristles are touching the floor.

10The belt tension adjustment is made by loosening the broom spindle bolt “L” and nut “M” and then pushing the broom forward as far as the belt will allow and tighten (Figure 2).

Ensamblaje

1Levantar el depósito de la máquina tirando del asa.

2Dentro del depósito se encuentran todas las piezas necesarias para el completo ensamblaje de la máquina: la correa, el cepillo lateral, el brazo del cepillo lateral y el paquete de tornillería (el asa va empaquetada por separado).

3Montar el asa al chasis alineando los orificios de ambos lados (Figura 1) y fíjarla con los (4) tornillos 5/16-18x3-1/4" “A” y las (4) tuercas de mariposa “B” del paquete de tornilleriá.

4Levantar del suelo la rueda trasera derecha y colocar la correa alrededor de la polea situada en la parte interna de esta rueda.

5Pasar la correa través de la abertura en forma de ‘U’ del soporte del cepillo lateral “C” montado en el chasis (Figura 1) y torcer la correa un 1/4 de vuelta en sentido contrario a las agujas del reloj. (Figura 2).

NOTA: La parte de la correa situada en la parte superior de la rueda trasera se alejará de la máquina.

6Sujetar con una mano el brazo “D” y colocar la correa alrededor de la polea “E”. Luego acoplar el brazo al soporte del chasis alineando los pasadores dentro de sus orificios y fijarlos con el tornillo 1/4-20x1/2" “F” como muestra la Figura 1.

7Colocar la correa entre las (2) poleas de plástico blanco “G”, como muestra la Figura 2.

8Instalar el disco amortiguador “H” y el cepillo lateral “I” en el brazo del cepillo lateral usando los tornillos (3) 1/4-20x3/4" “J” del paquete de tornilleriá. (Ver Figura 1).

9Bajar el brazo del cepillo lateral y ajustar la manivela manual “K” hasta que 1/3 de las cerdas toquen el suelo.

10El ajuste de tensión de la correa se realiza aflojando el tornillo-eje “L” y la tuerca “M” y tirando del cepillo hacia afuera tanto como lo permita la correa y apretando la tuerca al final. (Figura 2).
