ALWAYS remove the plug from the mains socket before pouring water from the appliance!

•Fill the appliance with water up to the MAX marking and let it come to a full boil once – as described in the next section.

•After it has boiled, pour this water away.

NEVER take the water boiler into use if the electrical connections are wet resp. moist – there is a risk of you receiving an electric schock!

Injury hazard

For safety reasons, the lid 1 should not be opened while the water is boiling or is very hot. There is a risk of receiving severe scalds.

Notice

Always use freshly drawn water. Do not consume any water that has already stood in the water boiler for longer than one hour. Do not reboil water that has cooled down. Always pour old water away. Microbes could have formed in it!

•Check to ensure that the setting of the voltage selector switch 5 corresponds to that of the local power supply. If necessary, adjust the voltage selector switch 5 to the correct setting.

•Open the lid 1.

•Hold the water boiler upright while filling it. Only in this way can you correctly read the interior markings in the water boiler.

Fill the water boiler to no further than the MAX marking, to ensure that no boiling water splashes out.

•First close the appliance lid 1.

•Now insert the plug into the mains power socket.
