Switching the Appliance Off

3 The refrigerator compartment can be switched off independently of the freezer compartment.

01. To switch off the appliance, hold down the ON/OFF button. This will result in a countdown from "3" to "1" taking place in the temperature displays. On reaching "1" the fridge and freezer compartment will switch off. The temperature displays and the mains power light will go off.

Switching off the refrigerator only:

01. To switch off the refrigerator, hold down the "+" button for the refrig- erator until „OF“ is shown in the temperature display. Then again press and hold down the "+" button. After a short time a countdown from "3" to "1" is taking place in the temperature display for the refrigerator. On reaching "1" the refrigerator will switch off. The temperature dis- play will go off.

3 The appliance is only completely disconnected from the electricity supply when the power plug has been removed from the power outlet.

Note:

The appliance cannot be switched on or off if unplugged, or if there is no power being supplied to it.

Following connection to the mains power supply, the appliance returns to the same operating state as before the interruption of main power.

If the appliance is not to be used for an extended period:

01. Switch appliance off by pressing and holding the ON/OFF button (see above).

2.Remove the mains plug or switch off.

3.Defrost freezer compartment and clean the appliance thoroughly (see section: "Maintenance and Cleaning").

4.Leave the doors open to avoid accumulation of odours.
