Installing The Back Up Batteries

This system includes a battery back up circuit that will maintain the tuner preset station memories, the clock time, and the timer settings in the event of a temporary power interruption. The battery back up system requires three “AA” batteries, not included. Please use a well-known brand of alkaline batteries for longest life and most reliable performance.

The back-up battery compartment is located on the backside of the main unit.

1.) Press down on the battery door-locking tab as shown and remove the door.

2.) Install 3 fresh “AA” alkaline batteries in the battery compartment. Be sure to install the batteries correctly, according to the polarity (+ / -) markings inside the battery compartment.

3.) Replace the battery door.

NOTE: The life expectancy of the back up batteries will depend on the number and the length of the power interruptions that you experience. Under normal circumstances we recommend that you replace the back up batteries every 12 months.
